Angels Won't Chase Holliday

Los Angeles Times - Angels general manager Tony Reagins has shot down rumors that the team has expressed serious interest in Matt Holliday.

"He's a talented player," Reagins said of Holliday. "But our focus is not on him right now."

Holliday is expected to sign a contract in excess of $100 million and Reagins reiterated that he is focused on signing his own free agents.

Most notably, pitcher John Lackey and third baseman Chone Figgins.

"I know where both of them stand," Reagins said. "But as free-agent players they have earned the right to see what their value is." [READ]
