Yankees To Join DeRosa Sweepstakes

New York Daily News - The Yankees are expected to join the race to sign veteran utilityman Mark DeRosa.

The club sees him as a good option should they re-sign outfielder Johnny Damon. DeRosa would play left field on the days that Damon is used as the designated hitter.

DeRosa could also help New York give rests to stars like Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Robinson Cano and even Mark Teixeira.

There are roughly a dozen teams believed to be interested in DeRosa. [READ]
