| 22nd November, 2009 - 7:05 pm | ESPN - The Athletics have signed free-agent third baseman Dallas McPherson to a minor league contract.
McPherson, who is invited to spring training, will compete for a starting job in Oakland. The A's used Adam Kennedy, Bobby Crosby and Jack Hannahan at third in 2009.
The 29-year-old once ranked among the game's top prospects, but he missed the entire 2007 and 2009 seasons with back issues. [READ] |
