Damon Expects Talks To Slow Down

New York Daily News - Free-agent outfielder Johnny Damon doesn't expect any serious action with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up.

Damon has been in contact with agent Scott Boras via text message mostly, but added that a number of teams have reached out. However, no offers have been extended.

"It seems like it's been pretty informal," Damon told the New York Daily News. "With Thanksgiving coming up, I think it's going to be slow until next week at least. These things usually take until the winter meetings at least; I've been through this before, so I'm just relaxing."

Damon has made it known that he'd like to re-sign with the Yankees. [READ]
