Sources: Red Sox Shopping Lowell

FOX Sports - The Red Sox aren't just shopping third baseman Mike Lowell, they are also willing to pay a portion of his salary, sources told FOX Sports.

Lowell is owed $12 million next season and sources indicate that Boston might be willing to pay as much as half of that if a team will take him.

A rival executive, however, told FOX Sports that he'd be surprised if a team paid even $6 million for Lowell. [READ]
