Market Could Keep Boston From Trading Lowell

ESPN - Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell has been mentioned in trade rumors, but it will be difficult to deal him this winter.

Boston is believed to be willing to pay a portion of Lowell's $12 million salary, but the market is full of other options at third baseman.

Gordon Edes of ESPN.com points out that other options include Chone Figgins, Adrian Beltre, Pedro Feliz, Miguel Tejada, Joe Crede, Mark DeRosa, Troy Glaus and Juan Uribe. [READ]
