| 14th December, 2009 - 8:14 am | New York Daily News - The Yankees have not made an offer to free-agent outfielder Johnny Damon, despite reports to the contrary.
The New York Daily News writes that agent Scott Boras has told the Yankees not to propose a contract unless it's for at least three years and no less than $13 million annually, which is what Damon made in 2009.
The Yankees aren't expected to offer Damon the type of deal he wants.
They have maintained their stance and are reportedly unwilling to offer more than a two-year deal at $8 million per season.
Damon hit .282 with 24 home runs and 82 RBI in 2009. [READ] |
