Yankees Won't Extend Jeter, Mo Or Girardi Until After Season

New York Post - Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera and Joe Girardi are in the final seasons of their contract, but Brian Cashman doesn't plan on negotiating with them until after the season.

“I don’t think you can separate one from the other,” Cashman explained. “I am not saying they are the same, but the questions will come, ‘If you did one, why didn’t you do the other?’ If this was Kansas City, it would be different — but it’s not.”

Rivera could take a single-year contract, but Jeter is believed to want a multi-year deal. [READ]
