Nomar's Future Uncertain

NESN.com - There have been conflicting reports regarding the professional future of Nomar Garciaparra.

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reported last week that Garciaparra is "widely expected" to retire.

However, WEEI's Lou Merloni says that Nomar is "intent on playing in the majors" in 2010.

Merloni has been a close friend to Garciaparra throughout his career, but with spring training nearing the infielder is still a free agent. [READ]
