Blue Jays Sign Alfonzo To Minor League Contract

Yahoo.com - The Blue Jays signed infielder Edgardo Alfonzo to a minor league contract on Thursday.

The 32-year-old was released by the Angels earlier this month after batting .100 in 18 games.

Alfonzo has a career batting average of .285 with 281 doubles, 146 home runs and 740 RBIs.

The former all-star will report to Double-A New Hampshire on Friday. [READ]
