Report: Jays Continue Dealing, Send Hinske To Red Sox

CBC Sports - The Toronto Blue Jays traded Eric Hinske to the Boston Red Sox Wednesday night, according to reports by the Boston Herald and Toronto Star.

The Red Sox agreed to pick up $4.2 million of the remaining $7 million in salary Hinske is scheduled to earn through 2007.

The Red Sox will also send Toronto a minor league player to be named later.

Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi denied the report.

"People are reporting on speculation," said Ricciardi. "It's a leap of faith." [READ]
