Despite Rain Out, Yanks To Have Hughes Dodge Boston

New York Daily News - The Yankees-Blue Jays game, scheduled for Wednesday was rained out. Pettitte was slated to pitch, but will have his start pushed back to Friday and Phil Hughes, one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, will make his major league debut Thursday night against Toronto.

Yankees manager Joe Torre said Kei Igawa or Jeff Karstens would pitch Saturday and Chien-Ming Wang would go Sunday against the Red Sox.

Hughes will be opposed by right-hander A.J. Burnett, who was pushed back a day by the Blue Jays. Josh Towers will pitch Friday against the Texas Rangers. [READ]
