Rangers Place Catalanotto On 15-Day DL, Recall Diaz From Triple-A

AP - The Rangers put Frank Catalanotto on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday after an MRI exam showed a strained tendon in his right biceps.

Texas recalled former Mets outfielder Victor Diaz from Triple-A Oklahoma, where he was leading the RedHawks with a .356 average, three home runs and 28 RBIs.

With Sammy Sosa having the day off, Diaz replaced him as the designated hitter, batting fourth against the Yankees on Tuesday night. [READ]
