New York Post - As the MLB trading season nears, Yankees GM Brian Cashman must determine which hole to plug.

Fixing first base and finding another designated hitter are likely to be higher priorities than help in the bullpen or at backup catcher.

Many believe the Rangers' switch-hitter Mark Teixeira, who is currently on the DL, will remain in Texas.

The Nationals' Dmitri Young could be available and started last night third in NL batting at .339.

Kansas City will entertain offers for right-handed hitting Ryan Shealy.

And Cashman may be able to pluck a bat or an arm from a White Sox fire sale.

“They are very serious, there is nobody on that team they won’t trade,” said a source who had spoken with the White Sox. “There isn’t one untouchable player on that club right now.”

White Sox scouts have been seen attending the Double-A games of Yankee prospects Joba Chamberlain and Ian Kennedy. [READ]
