A day after the New York Post captured images of the wife of beleaguered Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez in a tank top that read, “(expletive) you” under the back collar, Ashley Papelbon said she can understand the impulse.
“You want to protect your husband, especially with the things they’re saying about A-Rod,” Papelbon said last night at Fenway Park [map]. “Now I don’t know that I’d wear a shirt that says (the expletive) on it. I guess it surprises me that she would, but maybe it was just out of anger. She probably doesn’t know what to do.” [READ] |
