Big Night For Angels' Anderson
22nd August, 2007 - 1:25 am
AP - Garret Anderson drove in a club-record 10 runs for the Angels against the Yankees on Tuesday night -- all in the first six innings.

Anderson hit a grand slam, a three-run homer, a two-run double and an RBI double to become the first major leaguer with 10 RBIs in a game since Alex Rodriguez did it for the Yankees against the Angels on April 26, 2005.

Anderson also became the 12th player in major league history to accomplish the feat.

The big league record of 12 RBIs is shared by the St. Louis Cardinals' Jim Bottomley (1924) and Mark Whiten (1993). The AL record of 11 was set by Tony Lazzeri of the Yankees on May 24, 1936. [READ]
