Yankees 2007 Payroll Was $218.3 Million

RealGM Staff Report - The Yankees made the playoffs yet again in 2007 and did so in record-breaking fashion by having a team payroll of $218.3 million, according to the Associated Press.

The Red Sox, who won the AL East and eventually the World Series, spent $155.4 million on their team payroll.

The Yankees made $415 million in revenues and were forced to give $100 million away because of the sport's revenue-sharing system. [READ]
