Cone Takes Some Blame For Steroid Era

ESPN - David Cone has taken some responsibility for the steroid era in baseball, according to the Associated Press.

He was on the union's negotiating team during the strike back in 1994-95 when team management proposed drug testings, but the players' association successfully rebuffed it.

"Certainly in retrospect, I think there's plenty of blame to go around. Certainly I share some of that blame as being involved with the players' association at that time," Cone told the AP on Wednesday. "It's something I'm not proud of. It's humbling. It's embarrassing." [READ]
