| 10th March, 2008 - 10:03 am | The Philadelphia Inquirer - New Phillies' closer Brad Lidge will throw off the mound on Monday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
It's been two weeks since Lidge had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The original time frame of three to six weeks of recovery time remains in place, still leaving open the possibility that he'll be ready for the season opener.
"He's a little ahead of schedule," pitching Coach Rich Dubee said. "I don't know how many innings he's going to need [to be ready for the season opener]. He'll need to get out there, that's for sure. We'll get to that point when he's feeling right, and he's thrown off the mound a few times." [READ] |
