| 28th March, 2008 - 5:33 pm | ESPN - Freddy Sanchez is expected to begin the season with the Pirates on Monday despite a sore right shoulder that caused his to miss a majority of the spring, according to ESPN.
Sanchez played in a minor league game on Friday and planned to do so again on Saturday before Pittsburgh's game against on Atlanta on Monday.
