| 29th March, 2008 - 11:11 am | The Arizona Republic - Diamondbacks' left-hander Doug Davis has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, according to the Arizona Republic.
He is expected to make his next few starts before undergoing surgery to remove the cancerous lump on April 10.
"It's something I know I'll be able to fight through," Davis said. "I know I'm young enough and strong enough to make a full recovery. I'm not putting a date on the return back, but it has been done in a month and a month and a half, and I hope I'll be starting for the D-Backs then." [READ] |
