Jeter Could Return For Boston Series

The New York Daily News - Derek Jeter will sit out the remainder of the Yankees' series with the Royals with a strained quadriceps, but there is a possibility he'll face the Red Sox this weekend, according to the New York Daily News.

"We'll shoot for the Red Sox series," manager Joe Girardi said of a return. "We'll see where he's at after a couple of days and make an evaluation. We feel it's not going to be two weeks. We hope that sometimes in the Boston series he'll be ready."

Alex Rodriguez maintains that he's willing to play some shortstop if the team needs him to. "Whatever Joe wants, I'll do. It would definitely be a challenge, but if Joe thought that was the best combination, I would let it fly," Rodriguez said Tuesday. [READ]
