| 10th April, 2008 - 5:13 pm | The Chicago Tribune - Sammy Sosa is considering officially retiring if a team doesn't offer him a contract in the near future, according to the Chicago Tribune.
"Right now, I am not officially retired," Sosa said Wednesday. "Definitely, I am going to make that announcement when it's time. My agent (Adam Katz) wants me to wait a little bit more. Sooner or later, I have to announce that."

"It's going to take time," Banks said. "Maybe there is a possibility with everything changing and new leadership—new owners and stuff. I'm going to try to bridge that gap a little bit. Try to have him come back and throw out the first pitch and possibly sing 'Take Me Out To The Ball Game.' That would be a good start." [READ] |
