Jeter Could Return Monday Against Rays

The New York Post - If Derek Jeter doesn't suffer any setbacks on Sunday while running, he'll likely return to the lineup for the Yankees on Monday night against the Rays, according to the New York Post.

"I will run a little more [today]," Jeter said. "If you ask me, I am ready right now."

Manager Joe Girardi has decided to be much more cautious with his All-Star shortstop.

"You try to make sure, especially with a guy like Derek who is used to playing hurt," Joe Girardi said. "He is bored to death and definitely wants to get out there. If it grabs at all, you can't afford to put him out there because it could get worse." [READ]
