Joba And Buchholz Becoming Fast Friends

Newsday - Joba Chamberlain and Clay Buchholz had dinner plans together following Saturday's game, Buchholz said before the game.

"Joba, he's one of a kind," Buchholz, who lost to Chien-Ming Wang and the Yankees on Friday night, told Newsday. "When you take the time to get to know him, he's the kind of person who sticks with you."

Chamberlain also became friendly with Red Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury and outfielder Cameron Maybin, whom the Tigers traded to the Marlins last December. "It's a group that is maybe the next wave of baseball," Chamberlain said. "You have a lot in common. We're all young kids who want to be the best at what we do." [READ]
