Yankees Looking Thin At Catcher After Molina Goes Down
14th April, 2008 - 10:13 am
ESPN - Yankees catcher Jose Molina injured his hamstring on Sunday night against the Red Sox, adding to the injury woes of the team's catchers, according to the Associated Press.

Jorge Posada, who was playing as the designated hitter because of a sore arm, took over behind the plate for Molina.

"I'm not sure what's going to happen with Molina now," manger Joe Girardi said. "He hurt his [left] hamstring. That's why we took him out. ... It was pretty bad."

The team will have to make a decision on whether or not they'll add another catcher to the active roster before they battle the Rays in Tampa on Monday night. [READ]
