D-Backs Open To Dealing Davis, Garland

The Diamondbacks aren't willing to trade Dan Haren, but pitchers Doug Davis and Jon Garland are very much on the market.

A major league source told FOX Sports that Arizona has received minimal interest in Davis and Garland, and described talks as "remarkably quiet."

Both pitchers could be options for teams in August as they figure to clear waivers.

Webb Still Hopes To Get Option Picked Up

Brandon Webb is still hoping to return in September and convince the Diamondbacks to pick up his option for next season.

Arizona has an $8.5 million option on Webb's contract for next year, but could pay him just $2 million to buy the right-hander out.

Webb has been out since Opening Day with shoulder problems.

"Obviously we'll have as much information as we can leading up to early November," Diamondbacks general manager Josh Byrnes said. "There's a chance he throws competitively between now and then. We'll try to make the best decision we can."

D-Backs Official: Haren Is Staying

Dan Haren isn't going to hit the trade market, according to one senior Diamondbacks official.

"We're not trading him," the Arizona official said. "We don't want to change our core."

Haren, who is under contract through the 2013 season, is 10-5 with a 2.14 ERA and 141 strikeouts in 143 innings in 2009.
