Report: Reds Get Rolen From Blue Jays

Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated is reporting that the Reds have acquired Scott Rolen from the Blue Jays.

Rolen has a no-trade clause in his contract, but is expected to waive it in order to complete the deal.

Toronto will get third baseman Edwin Encarnacion and a minor leaguer from Cincinnati.

Rangers Bid For Halladay Appears Over

A major league source claims that the Rangers are "unlikely" to land Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay.

Texas is refusing to include left-hander Derek Holland in a package for Halladay, which is just one of the reasons that a deal doesn't appear imminent.

Halladay's remaining salary for 2009, roughly $4.75 million, and the pitcher's no-trade clause raised red flags as well, the source told FOX Sports.

Toronto was asking for Holland, Class AA first baseman Justin Smoak and two other top prospect from Texas.

Red Sox Active In Talks For Halladay, Martinez And Gonzalez

The Red Sox won't land all three, but they are active in discussions about Roy Halladay, Victor Martinez and Adrian Gonzalez.

ESPN.com's Jayson Stark is reporting that the Red Sox "have pokers in the fire on all three of the big names."

Boston could look to get a third team involved in possible deals with the Indians and Padres.
